Galine

GALINE is the band of Belgian-Dutch singer Galine Diana Kuyvenhoven,
who teaches (choral) singing and art history at the Academie Kunsthumaniora in Bruges.
What starts out as a modest solo project soon blossoms into a full-fledged five-piece consisting of Galine, Jorik Vandenbosch (Mooneye, Slowlee), Esther Coorevits (I Will, I Swear, Uncle Wellington), Sven Sabbe (Uncle Wellington) and Lode Haleydt.

Galine plays fresh and trendy pop music with subtle electro accents, drawing inspiration from the likes of Lapsley, Oh Wonder, Maggie Rogers, Sylvan Esso and Jessie Ware.
Her maiden EP is released in April 2018 in collaboration with Siemon Theys (The Guru Guru).
The delicate melodies, rebellious riffs, acoustic gems and subtle electro beats are testament to Galine’s creativity and versatility as well as her knack for writing great pop songs.
Her talent doesn’t go unnoticed: in the wake of a number of rave reviews, Wilde Westen/De Kreun selects Galine as Lotto Wild Talent and names her their new ‘Artist in Residence’.
Amongst others, she features on the Revelations Stage at The Sonic City Festival and late 2018 she inks a record deal with Kortrijk/Ghent record label Mayway Records.
Early December, ‘Endless’ is officially unleashed as Galine’s debut single.
